I think what Perfect Illusion is trying to show is that you don't need crazy outfits to be Gaga.She is still Lady Gaga underneath all of these layers of fabric.All these years she was known for being crazy,wearing a dress made out of meat etc...With Perfect Illusion she wants to show the world that anyone can be Gaga without the help of her outfits. To all of the people who say that the imagery on ladygaga.com/perfectillusion doesn't match the cover art,i disagree.I will quote one of the sentences that i wrote in the previous paragraph:All these years she was known for being crazy,wearing a dress made out of meat etc...What I am trying to say is that the colors on her website represent her,or how she used to be all flashy and how all of her couture pieces made her pop and stand out.Now i want to say something about this picture: What i noticed immediately is that she doesn't stand out.She isn't the center of attention anymore with her outfits.She IS the center of attention thanks to her music! Conclusion: Gaga is trying to show the world that she doesn't rely on her outfits anymore to stand out! Also,i think that she will still do pop music but in a different way! She definetly wants to redefine her public image. I probably would be here for it but her new face puts me off so much and the Single Cover has a really weird angle. Love the demonic eye tho. Her jaw dropping vocals will be the centre of attention in this era and not her wigs, her outfits or her crazy yet phenomenal sense of style. But, here's a thought, her last pop album: ARTPOP was about putting art into pop and during that era she claimed to be artistic and how she focuses on aesthetic and in general, being out of the box in terms of visual experience.
