2ndTimeAround 664
Do you think the new look, if it is going to be the look for this era... Do you think it will resonate better with the GP rather than crazyga?? Will people like her better because she's not weird and crazy and the shock value won't be there... Music not the bling for sure this time around! Personally I'm all for either or .. give me crazyga or give me stripped down gaga, as long as the music blows my mind I'm sooooo of Don't drag me, just a thought when discussing the new single at work with some non stans and some made comments about the single cover being way different! At her eccentric stage, she was at the height of sales. The music is what resonated. The visuals were the icing on top.. It doesn't matter what she wears if the music doesn't feel fresh. It's whether the album/music resonates or doesn't past her loyal fanbase. ARTPOP was subpar to many.
Vague 424
I think Gaga is doing her thing this time. Without Troy. Without the same kind of high pressure her previous management provided. Shes with the right people and doing what she wants to do. And I think as a pop star she obviously must pay attention to her marketing, but at the same time I think its less of a concern. I really think this time its about the music and not the bling, so to speak.
YeehawKylie 7,817
Eh, her old style is what kind of made her an icon. I just think as it went on, it seemed like she was constantly trying to top herself. I think that is where the GP really fell off. I think a minimalist look will do her very well though. Minimalism does not mean boring. She can use minimalism to infuse her ideas. I think people are thinking it'll automatically mean boring. I think her talent in songwriting, singing, and general artistry began to get lost in her big looks. We always knew this era would be a bit of a "rebirth" after she got so much hate during the ARTPOP era.
Benji 20,113
Her extreme high fashion image was pretty much a gimmick though come the end. She's always looked either normal, pretty rock and roll or fashionable early on in her career (including pre-fame) until she started trying to top the extremism of her past looks. Whilst she appreciates high fashion, I don't think she enjoyed wearing it anywhere near as much as we assume. I remember seeing a lot of her outfits during ARTPOP and just feeling sorry for her. She actually started to look like that joke about her getting ready by rolling around in glue. So many were badly conceived and put together.
Poissonche 12,365
Her clothing may be more minimalistic this time around, but the way she still looks more Gaga than she did during the ARTPOP era. Don't get me wrong, her looks were amazing during the ARTPOP era, but you could see that her heart wasn't in it. But right now, she looks much happier, and her gaganess is transpiring through her joy, even though she wears jeans and t-shirts. I don't know if you feel the same way, but that's what I think. Also that kind of style she's going right now is sort of popular among a lot of people, in the late 00's and early 2010's everyone was trying to dress crazy. And after gaga's disappearance and with new artists coming along the style has changed and just stepped away from crazy and into a more simpler look Don't go for second best, baby Put your love to the test

I think there seems to be quite a few fans that equate her lack of ornamental headdress and gaudy heels to mean shes lost some semblance of personality? Its strange that after all this time some people can't separate the clothes from the woman herself.
