Im not stretching in the slightest. What more receipts do you need besides the fact that its singles are played incessantly on radio to this day? Borderline? Lucky Star? If you want me to delve into the internet and start posting links to all the lists in which its regarded as an iconic album I just don't have the energy or the interest to appease you. I will provide you with a personal story however, on Madonnas past birthday this year both friends on my IG feed referenced the s/t album and its cover in their posts. One of which being a friend of mine that spins records in LA holding up the vinyl to her face as if it were her own. If you go to any bar in los angeles that would bother to play Madonna you're going to hear her s/t record very much including physical attraction. i mean, if the album is just not very present in your specific reality than I cant really like argue that because its yours.

That album is rarely played at where I live.

The thing I'm trying to say is, when people talk about iconic Madonna albums, they always mention Like a Prayer, True Blue, COADF and so on first. If I had it my way, I would want it to be in more top 5s of people's list. I feel it's pretty clear that it's not among the first things people think of when thinking about Madonna's long career.

What you're saying, imo, solely refers to stans on pop forums. Because the s/t is most certainly an album that, in reality, people think of when reflecting on her career. Theres albums like Madonna and Like A Virgin in which fans might not always choose to bring up for the same reason most monsters dont put Poker Face on their Top 5 Gaga songs, its just a very obvious choice that they know the general public would choose. Not that they don't acknowledge its importance for her career;however ive deduced from being on these things that fans like talking about the deep cuts with other fans. Fans on pop forums bring up Like A Prayer or American Life because they believe they are headier and more subversive. But in reality, Madonna is not one of her underrated albums. Erotica is technically one of her underrated albums because commercially it was not as successful, but the fans appreciate it thus they talk about it. I feel like im blabbering now.

Urrghh I don't really feel like arguing anymore... It's not like I'm saying it's the best thing in the world or what but yet I'm getting put down for it... I really don't know what anyone would get out of this...

Im not putting you down for mentioning the s/t. Its just not underrated because its highly regarded as one of her most classic albums and one of the most iconic pop records/debuts of all time. You just keep refusing to believe that fact and existing in your own world where her s/t album apparently is non-existent lol

I don't think it's underrated.

It's flawless and one of my favorite albums of all time.

Like "The Fame" it was ahead of it's time at its release.

I only wish she would give Physical Attraction it's time to shine on one of her future tours.

She's pretty much performed all the singles minus two album tracks.

It's a great listen from beginning to end minus the two remixes.

It is overshadowed by LAV and TB but I find this record to be stronger than LAV.
