ARTPOP-era barely scrapes above it imo. i like the born this way era, however, within its time there was something like....unsettling about being a fan. it was like i was always waiting for something else to happen, something more than what she was giving us and im not sure why. i remember being disappointed with single choices and the music videos. i was over some of her overly gaudy looks. but in retrospect i actually like a lot of her performances and looks back then. not all of them, but a good portion. idk maybe in the thick of it she was just putting forth SO much to consume it was difficult to palate all of it. but now that were long out of that era i can look back and actually appreciate some of what i couldnt at the time. I think Gaga should explore all possible avenues that interest her, not just pop music. The reason I follow Gaga is because she is a truly good and kind person who helps people. Gaga fans should follow her message and be kind and positive and not drag or shade anyone. ARTPOP was not a flop. I love IWBWY, her songs about family (Speechless and TEOG), and songs written to help people with her message (Hair and BTW to name just two). I live outside the space time continuum. I prefer Dope over IWBWY. I thought her performance of IWBWY was awful and the lyrics made me cringe. In fact I think all of the studio versions on ARTPOP are better than the Swinefest versions.
