Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Adele are all exceptions to pop stars needing to promote. Rihanna has appeal to everyone, Taylor has country and pop fans, and Adele is.....Adele. Gaga has been in that exception before, so has Britney. Katy though, I'd say she always has needed some kind of push.
