Why do I feel that we won't have pre orders before the release

I have to agree that it feels kind of intentional. Even C2C was well promoted with TV performances and plenty of interviews... After the first week or so I thought it was just incompetence or something but considering there have been no obvious emergency tactics thrown into place to try and turn this around, it seems like they aren't bothered. Which is so weird...

Which sucks because she got such a warm response from US/AUS and even some Euro radio, but she can't expect them to keep playing it when she let it plunge out of the top 50 at one point with no banner, no promotional performances, and no video. And then the video finally got it up to an area where radio would still keep picking it up, just for no follow up to happen to maintain it.

It's frustrating because it's hard to believe anything is happening while shes in NYC right now.

And then the worst is you look at Drake's promo and it's insane Like his movie on Apple Music inspired by his album which had massive promo. That's cray.

Or what Beyonce has done with her releases, making them total events. Gaga's release feels like it's for a D-lister.

by the ways things are going with PI, I'm expecting Britney-Glory numbers. I can't believe the song is getting dropped by radio before even hitting 30m airplay (before the payola on the first day). I knew this would flop, but never this hard. It's tragic that this is all happening before the Superbowl. By the time that comes around, Joanne will be dead as ****, unless she has some single worthy songs on the album. However, judging by the descriptions, I doubt there's any. Oh well

I have no idea what they're doing. But it's safe to assume that Joanne will essentially be DOA unless there's some major promo in the coming weeks - which doesn't look likely. What a weird era.

Gaga is the empress of missed opportunities. Them capitalizing on the video boost was indeed a perfect illusion.

For me, the lead single era is over. Did it even start? Idek, idec. But yeah, roll on October 21st

honestly, i can't say i didnt expect this. The monsters on this site are so damn deluded over Gaga's position in pop music. They still think she's a pop titan when she clearly lost that position a LONG time ago. This single, however, was her chance to rebuild her mainstream appeal, but she chose to **** it up by releasing such a messy song/video. I thought her and bobby had taken notes from the AP era and were ready to make her EXPLODE into her 30s (lol), but I feel like she's lost it. 

 

Bring on the album. It will flop, but that doesnt mean it will be bad.

If Joanne indeed doesn't do well commercially then I don't know what that means for her future music. I don't mind if she doesn't want to be a big pop act anymore but I'll hate it if she won't tour much in the future. That would mean I'd just have the music and nothing else.

The song and video aren't even bad. People don't need to attack quality just because promo is a disaster and kills any commercial success. lol
