What are the reasons behind a flop in this case? Honestly PI has 1. good lyrics (not weird as ARTPOP), 2. good music, 3. it's radio friendly (I mean that sounds so good on the radio)

is it possible that PI is flopping cause of lack of promo? Is this the only reason or gp doesn't like the song?

it's a good song, 7/10 for me.

My opinion: The GP (and a lot of little monsters) doesnt like the song

I have a question. I've been seeing the prediction that she will debut at 17 with 22m audience impressions but won't she almost definitely have more then that? Since the radio deal was only one day and she slipped to 24 million and won't be affected anymore + she'll be gaining more audience then she did this time last week which means an increase in audience over the weekend. Doesn't that mean she will pretty much definitely debut higher?

Sorry if this is kind of confusing, I'm not very good at monitoring radio yet

Nielsen audience is bit smaller than Mediabase, but yeah i agree it will be bigger than 22

It's the lack of promo. Anyone who isn't on a pop forum, doesn't really know of the song. It's also only been a week and the song isn't huge on radio yet. Promo is needed and more than debuting a video on TV.

I think that if Perfect Illusion flops by the time the album is released Interscope will force her to release a conventional pop bop. They gave her Perfect Illusion as a lead single but if it doesn't do well they will stick to their guns and release whatever song they think will do best (possibly the original RedOne lead). Honestly, if Perfect Illusion doesn't do well I hope they do, if she secures a hit it could buy her another single where she can whatever she wants.

It's not a bubblegum pop song, it's not urban, and it's not EDM, then It can't be a hit.

It doesn't showcase her vocals, it's repetitive, it lacks a proper chorus and it's noisy.

Maybe Interscope should just let Gaga do her thing and release the album. I think a RedOne lead single was deemed to flop, too. These sales are depressing, and I bet Interscope is stressed out because their biggest artist is flopping, but #MUSICNOTTHEBLING #stopthedrama #startthemusic would u critic bobby if u werent bobby urself? etc I just want Gaga to perform the song in many places because I really love watching Gaga perform. If that's not happening, well, then this era will be a total bore. I'm not here for the music alone :deadbanana: and I hope Gaga realises that she's not just a singer/writer/producer, but so, so, so much more. Gaga releases are supposed to be eventful and this release isn't.

I need some eurotrash gay anthems on LG6 though :poot:

If when Joanne comes out and there are instant sounding hits/songs that are lightyears ahead of PI in terms of quality then I will be so damn pissed off :madge:

Puta should be choosing the damn best of the best for her comeback to the pop scene

Signature loading… 👹🖤

It's actually not a good song at all... The shrieks are deafening on radio... The GP can't like the song if the fans can't even stand it... Let's just wait for the album and hope for a better second single while the music video keeps her name in people's mind... After all, singles are just promos for what matters = the album...

Ew it's so annoying when people start attacking a song just because it's bombing commercially.

Its being mismanaged. /end

It probably will. I think they are saving better songs for later singles because it's easier for the lead to become a hit than the singles after. This was a problem with ARTPOP. Applause was arguably the best song on the album and the other singles struggled.

I remember people here loved the song when it was #1 on itunes everywhere.

but now that it's lower suddenly they hate it and find flaws everywhere

I mean, Gaga's still got her artistic integrity I guess. I just wonder if Gaga is actually still capable of writing a smash hit..

and let's remember what the davidgrapejuice guy said: don't focus on first week sales, it will be remembered, etc.
