Anyone from France/Australia/Germany/UK/Spain/Italy has any ideas as to where she could perform with decent viewers (at least 3M+ I guess, big young audience)? Maybe it's really just that there's no promo opportunity :deadbanana:

Radio is the key right now. If she keeps getting these kind of updates during the next 2 weeks, the song can survive. She is definitely doing A LOT of promo before the album and during the album's release week.

Radio isn't going to play a song from a well known artist that people aren't buying. Look at GUY, look at Make Me. That's not how it works.

Someone who cares about riding high in the charts wouldn't make such music. Sorry.

She'd be making tropical-influenced pop songs or some generic **** with Calvin Harris or some other DJ... That's what sells at the moment, true fact.

I honestly don't know if it actually gets that many viewers. I know that in the Netherlands it gets only 300k viewers or so, because MTV is pretty irrelevant. And the Netherlands is probably one of the bigger EMA markets, hence the Amsterdam and Rotterdam venue in the span of 4 years. It also gets about 500k viewers in the UK. Pretty terrible to be honest.

Yup that's why she had a meltdown at the end of BTW when she kept getting harassed after MTN flopped lol. That album was hardly generic and she still got really upset when things began stalling out. PI is actually way more generic than most of the stuff shes put out since like Edge of Glory

US Shazam:

PI - #73

Rise - #69

:deadbanana: doesn't bode well

PI is one of the fastest risers-- It takes a song a bit of time to rise on Shazam, so can't really compare the two

The Greatest has been shazamed four times more than PI so far, yet it's not charting in the US. I guess it's getting a TON of airplay outside the US but lacks exactly that in the US so far.

The receipts don't lie. It'll probably outlast all of Meghan's upcoming singles as well.

You mention a time when she still cared about commercial success and got affected by disappointing sales... She always followed her guts, she never used those big hit-makers like KP and the others to get an easy chart success (yes, bar Red One but truly, he was not a very big name before his collab with Gaga). During her imperial phase, she was lucky enough to connect with the gp and sell to the masses. Which has long not been the case anymore. The first cracks appeared with BTW.

But she decided to stay true to herself and keep releasing music she writes (or co-writes) herself and believes in. Even if it doesn't sell.

Closer doesn't even have good callout scores lol

Radio is so thirsty for new music... only one song with lower than 7,5% heavy burn :deadbanana: it's become like AC radio :deadbanana:

I think Gaga will debut with okay call-out scores in a few weeks. Not Make Me kind of sadness, but also not Applause kind of slayage.
