Dangerous Man

Not you guys acting like 6 or 7 million views in 24 hours is bad. :rip:

It's definitely a great number. Side to Side first day views was around 6.5M and that's with VMAs promo. Note that STS is the 12th fastest video to hit 100M within 20 days.

it is bad considering her past views. Ariana isn't as frontloaded as Gaga

Was his record for sales only or SPS

For sales only. Went from 106,000 to 12,000 (-89%). In SPS he went from 119,000 to 20,000.

SPS drop would be around 83,2%. Don't who the record holder for that category is.

SCRATCH THAT

The biggest second week sales drops are

Kanye West - Life of Pablo (28,000 to 1,000 -> 97% drop)

Fifth Harmony - 7/27 (45,000 to 5,500 --> 89% drop)

Shawn Mendes - Handwritten (106,000 to 12,000 -> 89% drop)

Madonna - MDNA (359,000 to 48,000 --> 87% drop)

One article mentioned Mind of Mine having an 86% drop second week as well, but the numbers are nowhere to be found. Same goes to Kanye and Shawn. It seems like if you're a female artist wikipedia articles and publications are a lot more keen to report on their commercial hiccups. :awkney:

Before it was easier to fake views, no wonder why Gaga can pull 7M views for a flop single like G.U.Y.'s in debut views count but couldn't sustain the momentum. Fans are only active in faking the views at the first week and  get tired of doing it after.  But now YT has a more  strict algorithm in counting the views.

Nope it hit #5 or #4 I think and SPS kept it afloat the charts despite tragic sales.
