I mean, Gaga's still got her artistic integrity I guess. I just wonder if Gaga is actually still capable of writing a smash hit..

and let's remember what the davidgrapejuice guy said: don't focus on first week sales, it will be remembered, etc.

I think about this all the time. He said it would be critically acclaimed (has been so far) and that it would end up being a grower

Miracle

This isn't a flop: it's a change, a twist. She's turning into the new Stevie Nicks, Amy Winehouse, Pat Benatar, Kim Carnes.

I remember people here loved the song when it was #1 on itunes everywhere.

but now that it's lower suddenly they hate it and find flaws everywhere

I'm not sure what he does, but he heard the track early on and made many comments on sales and its reception. Maybe someone else knows what it exactly is he does. I know he's more than just an insider. He has clout and his opinion is usually respected

Lmao, no. Xtina flopped with two extremely trend-hopping albums. Gaga's not doing well with a rock, raw, full throated song with a massive key change

Can the trolls on this topic go away please and STFU.

We don't need this there.

We don't talk about the quality of the song (and it's good so STFU AGAIN)

we talk there about charts

go out

I'm absolutely sure she is still able to write the most amazing songs and that's exactly the reason I'm super sad she chose PI as her first single cause it's not her who came up with the song, with the melody etc, it was mainly Parker, she just started to do changes to the song. I'm so sure every other song on the album that she wrote from start to finish sounds so much better.

key changes are known as a lazy way to make a song sound different. a lot of producers see it as a little gimmick. a lot of people think her voice sounds bad on it

It's kinda like ARTPOP for a while after its release. I was in love with the album when it was released simply because of the excitement of having new music, but once that wore off I started to really here it critically and I didn't really enjoy it very much anymore. That can be the same with others and PI, it's chart run is just matching how they currently feel

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Hopefully the second single is better than PI. Hopefully they are in the studio with RedOne this weekend tweaking songs and making bops to salvage the album

loosen up, it's all just fun. I genuinely feel bad for all Interscope employees and most of all Bobby for this mess, but this thread created the perfect place for everyone to melt down in a fun way back in 2013. Perfect Ill#45ion still slays.

Lmao, in fact this isn't true. No professional critics have complained about her voice. Basically no critics have complained about the song except for some Britney fan on The Guardian.

I'm enjoying this era the most and I'm happy she's expressing her real self<3
