If radio overplays it, I can see Gaga getting a top 5 first week. If not, a top 10 would be more than okay

Yeah. Definitely not happening. But Top 3 is still huge in the streaming age, so that would be amazing. Top 5 would be good too, just not as impressive.

It's not a reflection of Gaga. With the way the Hot 100 is calculated and the size of streaming services, songs barely ever debut at #1 anymore with a few exceptions

It's not lack of faith in Gaga. It's people who understand how charts works and know what it takes to debut at number 1. And she did not break the Internet...

Broke the internet? Well hardly, imo... She did get a lot of coverage, and reports, but that's it 

Anyway, if you understand and follow how the charts work, Closer is HUGE right now, and she would literally had to sell 300k+, to get like 30 million streams and to have an airplay of over 50M Al.. Pretty hard if you ask me, we're in 2016 and the sales are tragic, and even Applause back in 2013 didn't debut with 300k pure sales.

I'm not being pessimistic, just realistic tbh. Which is totally fine, a TOP 3 debut will be awesome.
