I don't if you confuse interviews from 2011-13 to now cause lately she's been super talkative but then even in 2004 when asked about the worst thing about being a pop star she said interviews. We knew PI wasn't out until September so her possibility of performing was pure speculation, nothing to do with Britney.

What I take from your explanation is that instead of performing some hits the GP would've felt were tired, Gaga decided to skip the VMAs to avoid any potential backlash. Since PI would be coming out soon after the awards show, it would've made much more sense to return to the world of pop music with something fresh. 

Coincidentally, if ur theory is correct, Britney also pulled a similar move in regards to a past VMA which somehow aligned with her release of Womanizer, correct?

The real Britney is not performing anymore, she is living in recluse with her husband and kids. She is now just recording music, while the public appereances and performance are done by her body double. Her kids also shown with her nody double every now and then so that people convinced she was real Britney. She decided this mive after her bad experience with the press.

She have already complained about paparazzi as early as 2001, and one of thes result of this is of course, Overprotected, also the song Just Like Me from the new album is actually about this subject. The bridge part of the song where she keeps repeating the line that said, "She can, she can, she can have you" were referring to her body double and her fans.

Wow that year was like a second 2007 for Britney but it was really controlled by her team, the rumor was that in Hawaii she locked herself in her room and ordered scissors to the room service to cut her hair. At first I didn't believe it but then we saw her outside with her hair cut really unprofessionally and then we saw her walking out of Starbucks really quickly doing weird faces.

Yeah I watched parts of it, that's why I said she was so geniuine
