I am afraid to say, that other than the general negativity of this board among supposed fans, I don't get half the "proofs" and opinions on what will happen this era. Every bit of what has so far been presented is comparing GaGa to so-and-so, dragging down her manager, and a lack of faith in what kind of an artist we support.

GaGa is not Katy, GaGa is not Chainsmokers/Halsey, Carly Rae Jepsen, or Britney. Comparing her performance against these people, is pointless, because they aren't even in the same league as her artistically. As a classically trained singer, dancer, and seemingly intelligent person, I would venture Beyonce is probably the only that comes close, and her numbers didn't match up with any of this. I would guess that is because Beyonce, like GaGa knows, even with top charts, that doesn't mean money earned, or awards won, or artistic recognition, that just means you get to be a flash in the pan at number one if you are lucky, then maybe a second single/album that probably isn't even as good, and then you get to play the smaller venues to a few people while making meager money until you fizzle out (unless your Katy and try to feed yourself off of Dark Horse alone with whatever Prism was). That isn't what we are here for.

GaGa loves her fans, and when she feels that she has let us down, she says it and she believes it, and there are few other artists that would take the blame of their art unto themselves instead of just blaming someone else for it. She writes, sings, arranges, produces, dances, performs, acts, and manages business, while still managing to retain more artistic freedom and artistic credibility than any artist in her genre, and most not. That is worth much more than a number 1 single in every court of imagination, and I can't wait to be there to witness it.

Second to that, Bobby has so far shown himself, along with the partnership of GaGa, to be an innovative mind in the rebranding and reintroduction of an artist, because he has known GaGa for so long. He knows that letting her make the major decisions, and guiding her, while still being her friend and partner every day, is the best thing for her, because she is so innately talented and hard working, you don't need much else. As soon as someone has tried to force something like a label onto her, tried to box her music into a certain genre, or make a business only from her art, you get: record label drops/relabeling, Bad Romance, and ARTPOP era, which honestly just shows how hard she pushes to be at her best, because none of those are bad outcomes.

Time for GGD to figure out that GP is never going to get GaGa, but nor will they or have they ever forgotten her. It almost seems as if none of you leave your room and make it out into the real world, because if you had, you would know Lady GaGa is still very much a real thing. Bad Romance, Just Dance, Paparazzi, Poker Face, Born This Way, Applause, all those songs are still played, still remembered, and still loved, and minus the artist we know her as and will remember her as for the rest of our lives if you are a true fan, the general public has not and will not forget any time soon. With every moment that GaGa spends showing the world the power of her work, the closer she gets to being a legend, but to me, she already is.

Make Me even debuted at 17, Gaga won't miss the top 10. The only reason Katy did was because she was exclusive to Apple Music.

But isn't Gaga too? I thought deals made before the UMG bans were still valid ? :saladga:

I doubt it will debut at #1 tbh, top 5 hopefully. But I think it will hit #1 or at least #2 when the GP get to hear it on the radio then buy/stream it etc.

I'd apologize, but I can barely hear you from back here in 2008.   :classy:

When I was bopping to "Gonna scream your name when you don't call, Just Dance, spin that record babe, been here before"~

And you were...11? Still trying on your mom's shoes in the closet for the first time.

We know she's doing something with Apple but as far as I know, we don't know that she's doing an exclusive with Apple. These's other September events that Apple could be working with Gaga on.
