She may have something with Apple and the VMAs were too trash for her. With ratings at almost all time lows and the show being dedicated to certain artists who MTV happens to like, it's clear she was wise to skip the VMAs.

Because September 7th the new iPhone will be announced.

Just got word Gaga is the special performer.

But September 7th is a Wednesday. New music is released on Fridays at 12am EST.

Then she wouldn't be able to bask in our misery and gain power from it. 

Meh, for all we know she was waiting to harvest her crops during summer and decided to just release music sometime in September when she is done harvesting. :lolga:

I think she's separating herself. September is a better month for music than August anyway, her song could end up being on the radio until December if they play their cards right. With ARTPOP and DWUW, they released the single the only time they could, and it cut down from Applause which could have had longer life on different platforms. She's releasing a song and its not surrounded by the VMAs or surrounded by something, its just kind of its own. If she released in August it would've automatically been about the VMAs and this and that.

Probably the song has a reference to the month and she decided that it was appropriate to release it by then.
