artRAVE = Underrated

It's my favorite tour of hers but some things were not okay for me:

- her biggest hits were shortened (I mean TEOG was only a few seconds long).

- BTW being acoustic. She already had enough ballads for the piano segment.

- The whole ocean concept was a bit messy.

- I usually like it better when she uses one wig for the whole show and not change them in-between acts.

It's an amazing show tho :flutter: I remember freaking out during the livestream.

It was more fun overall! The group I was with, who were casual fans, ranked it as their favorite out of the other Gaga tours they had seen. It was one big, happy party!

I did not like it because the stage was all over the place and it had no real concept. As far as the costumes go, they were pretty bad except the Koons outfit and the white dress.

I loved the pre-show artwork with Robert Wilson, though.

I can't deal with people on this thread though why so much hate for the artRAVE??? It was actually her best tour, it was CRAZY yet still theatrical, yet a rave and a party, all at once.

I dunno I just don't get this fanbase sometimes...

I was there but I remember I was forcing myself to be excited all the time. Just enjoyed Paparazzi performance. :toofunny: Could have been much better like a theme based on applause video with clowns ...

I'm sorry but neither Britney nor Rihanna had a stage as amazing as the artRAVE in recent years. Let's not even mention the B-list singers like Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj who obviously have worse stages.

artRAVE had a high quality stage, period.

Neither Britney nor Rihanna have ever had a castle to compare it to.

It's really underrated, I actually enjoyed it more than the Born This Way Ball, I think she was much happier and the connection with the audience was better, maybe it was because she wasn't feeling 100% well at my BTWB show.

It depends of who's watching I guess. But I enjoy more Gaga when she's serious and dominant and also dramatic.

The stage was ok, some costumes were amazing, some awful.

For me, the main problem with artRAVE was her singing. She sang alot of choruses just along with studio version (GUY, Donatella, Swine, Aura etc). I was so pissed that instead of singing she just screams "now jump c'mon hands up sing it'.... :wtf: like...  c'mon gurl, YOU sing it

I enjoyed this 1000x more than BTWB. It was so much fun, didn't take itself too seriously. The lights/lasers/videos/canons/throwing sh!t around/colours/amazing walkways/her attitude just made it the best party ever.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was the wayyyyyyy too long fan bit at the piano, it's nice for 5mins, then everyone remembers they're there for a good time and the mood is starting to die.

I wish some songs were performed in full but c'est la vie, it was the most fun show anyone has ever done and I'm so sad we'll never get that experience again.

VOLANTIS

It wasn't very well executed imo. The setlist was a mess, abridged songs were a mess. The costumes weren't groundbreaking either considering its Lady Gaga. To me it was her weakest effort for a Tour but she can slay anything in any condition so I'm proud of it.

I think what made that show my favorite concert ever was Gaga's energy. Even if she had a stage with no runways and a black wall at the background the show would still slay. I mean, in my date she even jumped into the crowd, when will your faves?

I was disappointed with artrave, to me it felt like it was thrown together last minute and there wasn't much thought put into it compared to BTWB. It could be me being biased because I have fond memories of being in the monster pit and seeing Gaga live for the first time.
