Is Gaga a hypocrite for the alleged Apple Music exclusive deal?

She's still working for a HUGE record label who happens to love Apple and has made deals with them even before Gaga + The girl still needs to make bank for the company.

Interscope, just like any other record company, wants their artists to succeed so they can do whatever the ffff they want (in gaga's case, build even greater sets for music videos, tours, performance pieces, events)

I swear y'all do the most. No, unfortunately she has less of a say in decisions like this, she doesn't 100% own her career. If we keep going down this route we'll see a thread judging her for charging money for her albums

I don't understand what the issue is with Gaga becoming a part of Apple Music and signing a deal with them? She's always said she's about the power being in the hands of the artist and from what I'm seeing so is Apple. Since, everything in Apple Exclusive deals goes towards the artist and his/her team. They get great A&R, money for promotional campaigns, exclusive content, money for music videos, and an endless array of other bonuses. It's so much more beneficial, especially considering the state of the industry and how as I quote Gaga, "these labels don't have $" , we all know labels give them budgets and then the rest comes out of the artist pocket. So how is this a bad thing??

What you guys need to understand is that each artist is allowed a certain amount of money for an era (music videos, tour) and by doing this deal Gaga most likely upped the amount of money she could use for the album. She is definitely not doing that to get richer. I mean we are talking about the woman who went bankrupt during The Fame era because she put all the money she made back into her shows.

No, I've already said I don't agree with exclusivity deals but I don't think she is being a hypocrite. She just pretends to have a lot more control over the financial and business side of her career than she really has in reality.  

Either way it doesn't matter until we actually know more about the release.
