I doubt it's a bound contract. Both Parties have something for something else, so it's more likely that either of them could "leave" at any time, they just won't be able to once they've reaped the rewards.

Frank has been having problems releasing his album for months now.  I don't think any of this will effect Gaga. 

Billboard has been wrong many many times and they just threw Gaga's name in this article for clicks because she is releasing a single soon.

Some of you (trying to not be rude) aren't considering the whole deal passed exclusive streaming.

 

Personally, the situation would've been awesome. All iTunes Banners, Number one on hot tracks and the albums bar, on Apple Music also. Possible Beats1 adds, Apple Music adds, a linked radio station (Not actual but on A.M). Lets not forget to mention, the streaming exclusive would be for only a week probably and the whole campaign would be WORLDWIDE. Gaga would also get a lot of income, which is hard in the streaming era.

But to look on the other side, there's no way we could know just exactly what this contract included.

Thanks for an interesting topic, however we don't know anything for sure and Gaga may not even be Doing a deal with Apple, I think we should just wait out and see.  Yes believe me I know it is soo frustrating to wait knowing its not long and we don't know anything pretty much

I swear to the heavens......if they do delay it and don't say anything until late September, I'm gonna be pissed. 

I want a statement explaining the ordeal, with a new release window and album details. 

Right now, it feels as though we are cursed for being Gaga fans. She has passed on so many promotion opportunities and then a possible delay. No!

No. They are not going to reschedule everything. Perfect Illusion will be released in September and the album will be released in the following months.

Apple wouldn't have effected the VMAs at all. I don't believe they can get involved in your other promotional activities i.e. where you perform. They just have the rights to the release.

CACKLING at you little meltdowners. It's actually really impressive just how quickly you guys have fabricated this whole story about how her deal has fallen through and her marketing plan is screwed because she relied completely on Apple Music's promotion and that's why she didn't sign up for the VMAs and other promotional events, so now she has to go back to the drawing board and OMG it's going to be worse than ARTPOP and blah blah blah.

And yet everybody was jumping on me like hyenas in that other thread because I suggested she was missing out on some good opportunities with upcoming shows/festivals.

None of this happened because of Gaga's team. UMG made a decision that is making her and her team suffer. ARTPOP's era came with depression, creative differences, and overall frustration from Gaga herself. Stop being so negative
