Hoping this doesn't turn out to be true since it can damage her marketing plan for the album

Wouldn't an end to streaming exclusives only apply to future potential agreements of that kind and not to already existing and signed contracts?

It seems hard to believe that if Gaga has a deal with Apple it would be dissolved just like that mere weeks before the first single is released, especially if it's true that she signed the deal a year ago, in which case it's been a long time coming with a ton of organisation and negotiation involved and probably a lot of money at stake.

The business side of music is so interesting but so confusing. I wish we knew more details and had more understanding of the legal technicalities.

I don't really care how we get the music, I just feel bad for Gaga if her and her team have put all this time and effort into the release strategy and now a spanner has potentially been thrown in the works. I just want her to have a smooth era and it would suck if her plans have been messed up again. However, we really don't know enough about all of this, so let's just hope everything works out for the best. And if it really is a problem thank god it happened before the release and not during the era.

That seems more likely. Do people think its delayed? THAT MAKES WAY MORE SENSE.

They removed mid september from the article and we got the 3rd from a different place. The only thing that couldve possibly changed is it being exclusive. If she did an apple music interview, it can still get released, so can commercials and stuff. The only thing changing is the exclusive streaming.

The whole point of commercials and all is that it's an exclusive though lol

She should just release it with a MV next Friday or the 9th

I mean with how much money that's in the business it's not hard to pay a contract cancellation fee lol..

I'm glad this happened, even though I have Apple music, I despise exclusives. It's not fair

"Did you hear that Gaga's Apple Music deal fell through because Frank Ocean decided to **** over UMG? Now now her team is at square one with promotion."

Off to a gr8 f*cking start, I knew LG5 would be a Apple Music Exlusive, like f*ck they had all planned for the era and now it all goes to trash and they are basically starting all over for their marketing strategies.

Can someone explain me why this new singer called Frankly Oceanic (?) is the guilty of this mess? :saladga:

I wouldn't say as commercial as they come. Aura, Swine, MJH weren't very commercial. When she wrote that lyric she was going through a tough time and didn't want to be a money object anymore

I dislike how Little Monsters forget that this is her job. Of course she wants money from it, but she's not greedy for it. She actually chooses to spend her time to create wonderful art for us, or she can just be another artist who have their music written for them; They just go to the studio, and record the album. ARTPOP's message was "Music not the bling", but that does not mean that she should put her album out for free.

I hope you get my point.

By the way, 'Perfect Illusion' won't be delayed....

I mean, they wouldn't say the date if not 100% sure.
