I don't get it.

They're insisting management changes for PI, due to it possibly being apple music exclusive.

So basically it was going to be an Apple Exclusive for some time? Well, this either leads to a "rush" release or the September mid release.

If this ruins their promo plans I'll have to kill someone

I hope it ruins exclusivity. It's stupid to do it in the first place.

Exclusives aren't for artists. They're for services to hold over the head of consumers.

It not being an Apple exclusive anymore doesn't relate to promotion at all though, no? It's just related to where it can be streamed, no? Shouldn't change that much?

We just got the confirmation that they were planning something big with Apple Music.

Whyyyy do things always go in the wrong direction when Gaga is involved

Why is it wrong direction? :awkney:

This way PI will be available for everyone and not just AM subscribers.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

I doubt any major Gaga x Apple plans would be ruined by exclusivity. They may have to reword and reshoot any concrete promotional videos, that include the idea that it's an exclusive, but honestly, it's better for us in the end.

Lol I'm fine with that. It's not like I was going to listen to it there anyways :creepflop:

But in all seriousness, it's not a big deal.

If she had a contract with Apple Music before all of this, what makes you guys think UMG can just come in and say "We're banning all exclusive releases." UMG will either get sued or Gaga for not fulfilling the original contract.

I can see them banning future contracts being signed for exclusives but if something was already in place before hand, it'll still be an exclusive release.

I suppose it probably changes things like relying on Apple to promote the single as an exclusive to their service. Apple would probably have given it a big push and used the single as a flagship song to promote themselves.

Other than that, really shouldn't change much. It'll just be released on all services instead of just one. Which tbh is a good thing, **** exclusives. I'm not an Apple music subscriber and I wouldn't have become one for Perfect Illusion.
