Vergil 2,296
Britney has always been forgettable. No shade but she's so basic, she doesn't write her songs, she does lipsync I don't see any art on her but when she was a great dancer. I like some songs tho but she's another manufactured star. And now even worse that you can see she doesn't like what she's doing, for her it's just another day going to work.
Vague 424
Its just bad. Straight up. I really didn't think Britney would give me another bad album after Britney Jean (her first in which I literally had no use for whatsoever, not even one track), but Glory definitely is worse than I expected. Im really disappointed in both Britney and her team for failing to reinvent her these past 2 albums with decent shallow pop sleaze and an edgy cool look that suits her persona. All weve gotten is one empty cheesefest after another, and not in a good way.

The single and promo singles were at least somewhat interesting and descent. I think the main problem is that nothing that she sings about feels truly meaningful, and the music is basically what we have been hearing in mainstream radio for the past two years. Add this to the fact that almost none of the choruses are catchy or intriguing. I think is OK if you release trendy songs as long as they are at lest good and memorable. But other than the first single Glory just doesn't have these. 1. The instrumentation clearly doesn't sound flat. come on. but yes they're very trendy and it's britney so i expected nothing less from her. 2. I feel like the songs are catchy for the sake of being catchy. you can hear it on almost all of the tracks. too repetitive. 3. The lyrics do sound uninspired, pair that with britney's vocals and it doesn't sound good. Thank God for the instrumentation, though. 4. My favorite track is "Liar". By flat I mean the songs don't seam to go anywhere. They don't have peak moments. And the songs are repetitive but I still did not find them all that catchy. Okay but hes not wrong imo. I say this as a Britney fan and someone who genuinely did not expect another bad album after Britney Jean (although Glory is better). Im sitting with the deluxe version, listening and trying to get more of a feel for it. I think a few of the album cuts are much better than the promo singles (which I truly find horrid, every single one). Invitation is nice as is Just Like Me. A lot of the album falls flat, not as flat as Britney Jean where you literally sit there and dont understand what it is you're listening to. This album at least has a place on pop radio, I get where its coming from. But its also one of the least Britney albums I think shes ever released. Its completely and 100% tailored to sound like everything else without hardly an inkling of what makes a Britney Spears albums a Britney Spears album. And before the "she tried something different" statement comes, the fact that this sound could literally be Selena Gomez or any other number of current pop starlets, I dont agree that she really tried something different. I think she just conformed in a way she hasnt done so blatantly before. Yes Britney has always been and will always be shallow pop, but theres something distinctive about albums like In the Zone, Blackout, Femme Fatale, Oops, Britney....even Circus honestly. While Glory might not be AS abysmal as I thought it was at first listen. Its anything but distinctive. I think most Britney fans have been thirsty for an album that they can actually listen to and its delivered here, but is it that great? Is it one of her best? Not even close. Someone else might be relieved that Just Like Me sounds like something off of Selenas yawn of an album Revival, but im just disappointed that Britney and her team have once again failed to produce something that revinvents her iconically. Glory is a complacent conforming bore in the same vein as Gwens recent disappointment This Is What The Truth Feels Like.
Versace 7,973
As an album it's just better than Britney Jean and barley Circus , cause at least Circus had three clear monster hits being Womanizer, Circus and If U Seek Amy but sadly the rest is filler but whereas with Glory it has no obvious hit, maybe Better or Man On The Moon, unlike Circus it doesn't have fillers, maybe just one or two. Is it a good album...Yes Can Britney do better...Yes Is It forgettable...Time will tell I guess we should lower our expectations and just be happy we didn't get Britney Jean 2.0 or something worse
