BDR is one of the best songs on TF though... :nails:

And Gaga doesn't need a Teenage sh!t, she makes her own Pop music which is also far superior to the bublegum recycled mess of Cheesy Perry... :nails:

And thank god that they brought this emote back :nails:

Yeah BDR is not my fave lmao

I hope it's cohesive in a sense that they sound like they're from the same album, and I want a semi-cohesive theme, but I don't need ALL songs to relate to one overarching topic.

This is what I'm trying to say! Unfortunately my mention of bdr and Catty Fur's album derailed the thread lmao. 😂

Gurl you obviously do not know your Gaga, Beautiful Dirty Rich was literally one of if not the FIRST song she wrote and recorded for TF back when she was signed to Def Jam (back then it was called Dirty Rich), she wanted on TF so bad that she bought back the master when they dropped her so she could still use it. It's definitely not a random filler track :laughga: and how is it 'trying too hard to stay on theme' when it's literally the song the entire album was built around :laughga:

How is it filler if it BLATANTLY fits the theme, not through metaphor not through coincidence it IS about the fame just as much as THE FAME is

If you're gonna come for a song not fitting the theme come for Just Dance.

Literally NOTHING to do with fame.

You're not understanding what OP is saying. He is saying that BDR does fit the theme, and he feels the album suffered because Gaga was too focused on making sure the songs on the album fit the theme. This isn't about BDR not fitting the album.

BDR is underrated. It's easy to forget BDR since it was ages ago, but It's an awesome song.

The first time I listened The Fame back in the days I hated paparazzi with a passion! Only after listening to the instrumental version and the VMA's performance I started to pay attention do paparazzi.

But if your famous and rich, you'd Just Dance :gaycat: not start blathering about it like a poor wannabe.

(I'm kidding lol)

L.A. Reid dropped Gaga from Def Jam after he heard that song, he hated it.

Beautiful Dirty Rich basically gave birth to The Fame album/concept 💃

LOL no actually I wanted to prove a point that her obsession with the theme drove her crazy to the point where she wanted so much of a single theme that it ended up with no theme at all lmao. ARTPOP anyone :queenga:

But guess it's too late for that :awkney:

I think we're gonna get something so good we can't even speculate it because Gaga is more of a musician than we've ever really seen, her pop music is so good because she understands MUSIC before pop music, so I think she's really gonna start to show us who she is as the musician and artist that was shaped by The Fame, TFM, BTW, ARTPOP, and who she wants to be. All of the good things about her previous, refined and perfected.

I never thought I'd see the day people on this website would start complaining about her album concepts :diane:

Cohesively themed albums are literally what Gaga has built her career on, if she didn't create complex, perfectly themed theatrical album themes like she does 'Lady Gaga' would not exist. Hence why ARTPOP sold so much less, the central theme is much less 'glued together' :nails:

I think that having an overarching theme is good for Gaga. Even if the songs aren't related to one another, they are related to the theme (like TFM. Speechless and Teeth clearly are nothing alike, but they both relate to the theme of "fears" or "monsters," which is the theme of the album). ARTPOP has a weaker theme than TF, TFM, and BTW, which it is less thematically cohesive.

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you
