Speaking in Dimondale, Michigan -- a predominantlywhite suburb of Lansing -- Trump lamented the collapse of American manufacturing and criticized free trade deals as he laced into Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, saying they are taking black voters for granted. "You're living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58% of your youth is unemployed -- what the hell do you have to lose?" Trump asked the audience in an unscripted moment from a speech in which he otherwise stuck to his teleprompter. Clinton fired back Friday evening in a tweet, writing, "This is so ignorant it's staggering." Trump later accused Clinton of wanting to give jobs to refugees rather than unemployed African-Americans in the US, saying they have "become refugees in their own country." Trump -- speaking to an overwhelmingly white audience that featured only a smattering of African-Americans and other minorities -- also promised that were he to run for re-election at the end of his first term, he would win 95% of the black vote. First the LGBT and now black people. Hopefully people can see that the only two times he has addressed both in a positive way is when he wants to say something negative about refuges and Islam. JbGaga 2,261 Posted August 20, 2016 Share Posted August 20, 2016 I just came back from seeing Seth Rogans new movie Sausage party and I want to say I find it really interesting and hypocritical that in Hollywood you can make completely racist, Anti Semitic, Xenophobic, movie filled with negative sterrotypes against Mexicans and get praise from Hollywood but as soon as Tump says he would be the best candidates for the African American community people want to call him a racist... Voting Trump means losing more and being discriminated against more, while a Hillary win will lead to (for example) a decrease in gun violence (especially a problem among the afro-american population) thanks to gun restrictions. Hillary will also, in speeches for example, continue to build a stronger bridge between people who feel different. This will lead to less racism. A Trump win would legitimise hate crime, to an even bigger extent as what happened after Brexit in the UK. Recessions, much more likely to happen thanks to conservative policy and in particular Trump's isolationist and regressive economic ideas, are also known to hit minority groups the hardest. His target audience with this new emphasis is white Independents and white reluctant Republicans, who have been holding back from voting for a racist. How are Trump and Hillary the same on race issues? lol And don't bring up the crime bill when not only African American communities begged for some reform, but POC "heroes" Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders voted for it.
