Prometheus 1,494 Posted August 19, 2016 Share Posted August 19, 2016 I'm not meaning to be pessimistic, but let's consider the following: If an artist of Gaga's caliber came to your company and performed brand new music, would you tell the world it sucked if it did? Imagine the backlash. Not not would you have an angry fanbase on Twitter on your hands, but by insulting a world-famous pop star you might fall from grace in the eyes of the pop star and their label. I'm not saying that the iHeartRadio people are lying about the performance, but I just don't want to get my hopes up. I was stoked for Rise and for Make Me, but both fell short. They're both by pop superstars, but they're not incapable of making bad or mediocre music. What do you think? I did listen. He didn't actually listen to the music though, right? In the full interview he said he was busy working on his she, but he heard coworkers rave about it. If they were to say that it would good then there would be doubt but to say people cried is different. That being said, while I know Gaga is capable of completely snatching me bald until I look like this I also know that if I keep my expectations very low, I won't be disappointed; which is the last thing I wanna experience especially after the +1,000 day wait I had to endure. She´s been working on this record over 2 years. and I trust her completely. Some "fans" in this fanbase are always complaining about everything and it´s annoying. I was posing a question, not bemoaning all of this. I wasn't ranting and raving. I was simply asking if we should believe all the hype a company is creating. I'm happily awaiting a new Gaga song. Mind you, me getting hyped is me in my room and in my car, blasting GaGa (which I do anyways) for the next 3 weeks, and crying at the good moments she has given me over the years. Posting ridiculous stuff online just to troll hype, I mean, sure you could avoid that, but it is also amusing and fun when you don't take it too seriously. I have to agree with the "elitist" which isn't a proper term for that poster, rather maybe a stan? Not that GaGa "lets us down" at times, but sometimes she makes choices that some of us don't like and we aren't as happy with that particular performance or song, but to bet against GaGa by keeping low expectations?
