I've been a fan of lady gaga since just dance came out, i remember being so starstruck by her and i knew she was HUGE back then..but at that time i didn't know anything about charts and how they work until the ARTPOP era, i used to enjoy music way better actually without knowing about HITS and FLOPS..so when i found out about lady gaga's #1's on Billboard 100 i was a bit disappointed to be honest  even more surprised to know BR was #2  still not bad tho, so what i'm saying is that i wanna live that amazing moment knowing that your fave singer is at the top of the charts and slaying the basics (we're all competitive deep down so don't judge me)

And like it or not if your singles flop on the charts that means no awards and a basic tour ...so i really hope PI reaches the TOP of all charts

I hope it hits a #1 if we are lucky.

If we are not lucky, then everything will leak in demo form and we will have PI in bubbling under for 1 week and then the album out of the hot 200.  So pray for no leaks

That's not true imo, we didn't have a lot of awards during the ARTPOP era but I enjoyed each and every performance she did without a doubt, in fact, that era had some of her best performances. 

I will not blame Gaga for underperforming, I feel that now, she is doing it for the music, not the charts but really the music.

I'm 100% sure she will, considering the fact #perfectillusion got on top of the WW trends without any promo and such, says enough. 

She will snatch it, she just needs the correct promo and everything will be alright!

I never post in the chart and sales section of this forum because I couldn't care less. A #1 is not enjoyable to me, a good song / video / performance is. If she gets a #1 there'll be a thread anyways and of course I'll be happy, but to track the performance of a song over and over again seems boring to me.

GURL i didn't even know about Bad Romance peaking at #2 until 2011-2012. it was mindblowing to know that a #2 song could get so much impact. it's like everyone treated it as a massive hit to be reckoned with, a revelation.

now i just want the music to feel good like what i felt when i listened to the fame monster or born this way. that's all that matters to me

Gaga's STAR personality is so strong i just thought she was the best when I heard her sing. I didn't like her because of her chart success or her radio friendly music, or her fashion, but it's her talent from her acoustic performances and her personality. 

By not following the charts, I think it is such a nice way to celebrate music you like and not based on what's dictated by others. 

I hope with this song more people realize she is more than chart numbers and hits! That's really what I want this era.

It's so sad you need to have a #1 for it to be recognized but I guess she needs this.
