Perhaps the reason the vmas have become trash is because the music scene has become trash? It's been nothing but Miley, nicki, selena, nick Jonas, and other B list acts! 

It's hard to make a star studded event without the industries biggest stars (gaga, rihanna, Katy, Beyonce, britney) and the big stars are finally releasing, so I expect this year and next year's vmas to finally be good again! 

But gaga is most definately not above the vmas. What kind of pretentious off putting high school mind set is that trash? By that guideline, she's too good to promote on day time TV, too good to promote at radio station, and should only promote at the grammys and GG  sorry but I like gaga promoting every where! 

Sh!t, she's not exactly the biggest pop girl with the newest generation of consumers, ya know, the demographic that could potentially buy her new music, unlike the 30-50 year Olds who watch the grammys and GG.

This is so true, the VMAs this year will be very good with Rihanna, Britney and Beyonce. 

I wish Gaga would've released in time but oh well. Rihanna released We Found Love in September and that was a big hit.

It was a small decline of less then a million viewers with all channels airing the show taken into account. 2014 had 10.3m while 2015 9.8m. The show also set a record of most tweeted about non sports show in history. It got more then enough buzz.

There is nothing to be said about an award's show "deserving" someone to perform at it, if GaGa wants to perform it will happen, if not, then oh well. I watch some of the award shows, and they can be really entertaining, but it is better to enjoy them as such, and not try to rate one above another.

If there is anything to be said about GaGa, is that she knows her venues well, what sort of performance she should do, how she should change her act up depending on where she is, and whether she should ignore that altogether and just be rebellious. I hope to see her at any place she wants to go, because the more of her live performances, the better in my opinion.

 

I will say, last year's VMAs were a MESS. They looked lost in the crowd at their own award show, and I hope they try to repeat the way they filmed last year @,@

Why are you so sure about it? Not even We Can't Stop by Miley Cyrus in 2013 reached the top spot after getting the most talked about performance of the night.
