"For the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2015 and Sept. 30, 2016. Recordings must be commercially released in general distribution in the United States, i.e. sales by label to a branch or recognized independent distributor, via the Internet, or mail order/retail sales for a nationally marketed product. Recordings must be available for sale from any date within the eligibility period through at least the date of the current year’s voting deadline (final ballot)." - https://www.grammy.org/recording-academy/awards/voting-process/faqs Do you see it happening if Perfect Illusion smashes and receives critical acclaim, or at least "mostly positive reviews"? Is it going to be too late for the Academy to recognize it (if it deserves to be recognized )? Keep in mind that Poker Face is her only song that's received Record and Song of the Year nominations so far and that she's banned from Best Dance Recording category - her best shot would be Best Pop Solo Performance. They snub Bad Romance for SOTY & ROTY, yet, she received Album of the Year nomination three years in a row - didn't win a single time, ARTPOP gets snubbed for Best Pop Vocal Album (with the same Metacritic score as Prism & Bangerz), C2C wins Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
