nice try sweaty

It was a play on words of how today has felt compared to the past 3 years.   I wouldn't dare try to predict the lyrics.  There's NO telling what this song will be like.   Cheers to the wait!  😉

Hey guys I have two questions I am worried about, maybe somebody commented this on some of the 57 pages but while I was in the car I thought:

- Is this part of a soon LG5 or she is dropping the single and muuuuch later we will get a full CD?

- Will be this part of the CD?

I'm just a bit worried as we didn't get any pre-era vibes or announcement, what are your thoughts? Maybe I'm overthinking just because in ARTPOP we had many anticipation.

She put #LG5 in her tweet about the single so yes it does seem this is the beginning of the LG5 album era!!!

Daenerys

So someone on ATRL said something that has me piqued.

Notice how it's not "lady gaga perfect illusion new single September"

it's

LADY GAGA

PERFECT ILLUSION

NEW SINGLE

SEPTEMBER

notice the difference? It could be all........ An illusion and the single COULD come sooner and the Sept. Be for the album?

Edit: nvm. Iheart stomped and spit on that theory instantly :green:

Has anyone seen this optical illusion where you stare at the black dot for 20 seconds then look at the sky and see a rainbow?  Well, the colors used in this "perfect illusion" are the exact same as the announcement.

I have just spent 5 min staring at the announcement and then at the sky thinking it would reveal super-secret information but it only gave me a headache.  Still, I think this could have been an inspiration!

I thought I read somewhere that it would be early next year. But maybe things have changed. We'll have to see how he does with his solo songs again, though. Its been a while since his last solo hit. It's uncertain whether it was him or Ronson selling Uptown Funk. It seems like a long time ago that he was slaying the charts with Unorthodox Jukebox - almost 4 years. I've seen how much fortunes can change in that timeframe. As a Brit, I see that it's not uncommon for us to dump an artist after 2 successful albums, so I don't know how he'll fare on our charts.

I don't know if I'd worry that much about Pink. I don't think she'll be able to match or better the success of her last album, which, again, was 4 years ago. That success will be hard to replicate considering that she's been out of the public eye for a while and doesn't make the kind of music that the public are loving right now. But the potential for her to surpass Gaga's success in Australia if they release at the same time - now that's a worry! Gaga can't have 2 consecutive albums that underperformed in Australia or she could lose that fanbase forever!

Oh...I'm not worried about these releases. It doesn't matter to me if they release at the same time. All it means for me is that I will have three albums to purchase this fall for sure. I'm not into the competition game. Just thought I would give the information that I had seen.

Either way, I'm sure they will have hit songs and a successful album era with a big tour, as I'm sure Gaga will, as well. :)

GloZell Green

"In collaboration with super-producer Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, "Perfect Illusion” finds a sweet space in Mother Monster’s catalogue alongside some of her best dance floor anthems. It’s a cut that touches the highest of highs and lowest of lows in a relationship gone wrong, thus, the perfect illusion. "The song is about modern ecstasy . . . .We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it," she explained during her appearance at iHeartRadio HQ in New York City."
