I grew up listening to Madonna, bc of my mother, and watching all her videos, interviews, everything I could put my hands on. She was one of my first musical obsessions, almost 20 years ago. She definitely informed my taste, my thoughts and my personality in a big way, and for that I thank her! None of the cultures I live by I see it as we're so eager to celebrate her birthday that we want to start the party as soon as possible and make it last as long as possible Plus, it technically is her birthday everywhere where it's the 16th now.
