Well, I would say that this really doesn't mean anything. Sure, she doesn't dress up the way she used to, but that doesn't mean that her "egos aren't connected" or anything. Her dressing up doesn't equate her love for us. And, they "never seem to connect" most likely because she's just grown and changed. She still loves us all the same, and she's still the same person. Also, when you've spent a good majority of your career wearing eccentric and crazy outfits like hers, you'd get tired too.
