Omg who debuted @ #139?

Norah's diamond selling album did... i updated my post and found the weeks she hit #1.

Oh now I remember it was the following release that sold a million but it only sold 4 million total in the US so wasn't as successful really.

Hmmm...didn't Norah's 2nd studio album debut with over 1M first week?

Yep, it is all coming back to me now. Seems like so long ago!

Clearly not closely enough! I'm old enough where I should clearly remember this stuff on my own though. I guess I wasn't paying attention to Ms. Jones kind of like how I'm ignoring Adele.

Who? :lolgaga:

Rihanna is really in the 20s now, with new releases that will fall soon ahead of her.

With new releases behind it? You mean 40s?

She just dropped to 35. I heard her song on the radio like 3 times today I would have thought she would slowly but consistently be headed upwards.

POM went to #1, I'd hardly call it a flop?

For a week? And it hardly changed the game, to be honest.

Was Marina's Primadonna even released in the US or did it just not chart? :ohno:

It didn't chart well.

I wouldnt call 'Rumour has it' a flop at all...

top 10 on pop and airplay

already platinum

will be on it's 20th week tommorow on the chart and still has a chance to go top 10

covered by Glee (...lol)

All this without a single performance or a music video

Add to this that the single was released when the album was already 7x platinum...

But yes... loads of songs by female artists are underperforming -_-

Yes, I agree with all this.

I'll wait until the 7th before I officially pass judgement, but I will say that it won't smash (at least not as quickly.)

No that's true it wasn't a smash either but it was still her 7th #1 single of the era. Isn't that a record? so yeah, she's hardly "flopping" imo.

EDIT - sorry, 6th #1.

It's not a record for Teenage Dream. Billboard didn't allow it.
