Americano 31,061
It might not get to #1 in the UK again if it's released half-way through the tracking week again. Polydor better release it a few days late there to make sure it debuts atop. Yeah, I meant assuming a normally timed release. :P Hopefully they don't do the whole Friday trick over and over again. Express Yourself 2
Lady Gagas next lead single will go #1 in Aus/Germany/UK/US based on fan sales alone. Her tour demand is indicative of the strength her fanbase still has. MTN in Aus had a lot of issues with timing and following up a US-focused country ballad. You and I still made #16 in Australia though. It's weird that her first 4 singles would be in the top 20 then BAM 5th single is #80.
SomethingMore 1,701
It will be 2x platinum in a couple months Nope. The Idol performance boosted the sales. Last week You and I sold around 18k copies, this week (based on Magoo's calculations) 10.2k and the week is not over yet. Since last week You was at 1,930,000 it will be over 1,940,000 :) So its in a couple of weeks not months.

Initially it surged to Top 20 airplay, and then flatlined without any promo/video, and began to fall. That's when the video was released. She'll have no issue scoring hits in Aus since radio there tends to just copy American hits, outside of home-based acts like Gotye. (And US radio obviously won't ignore the country's biggest pop star's next release.) Edited April 20, 2012 by Americano
JeffSwift 314
Does anyone even care about the Starships video anymore? Lol, i am pretty sure i can't be the only one.

Maybe others here do. Initially it surged to Top 20 airplay, and then flatlined without any promo/video, and began to fall. That's when the video was released. I agree, the time from song release to video was a bit too long. My other theory is that it came fresh from the video backlash of EOG. With it came out earlier in Oz, it was judged purely on its musical appeal to radio. I agree, the time from song release to video was a bit too long. Oz often gets songs before US and UK. Rihanna's WHYB for example. Edited April 20, 2012 by craig

Also, it can be argued that it would have fit radio better than it did.

Americano 31,061
A song being "good" or "bad" isn't defined by radio airplay... Some of the best songs don't get played.
Deacon 5
Payphone better not get to #1 This. A song being "good" or "bad" isn't defined by radio airplay... Some of the best songs don't get played. And also THIS.
Express Yourself 2
It's not a bad song though, IMO. Also, it can be argued that it would have fit radio better than it did. It's kind of worrying though that when purely judged on just the content of song, without all the live performances or videos, it failed. I know it's the 5th single, but it's the 5th single of one of the largest pop stars today.
