hmm 979 Posted August 7, 2016 Share Posted August 7, 2016 My opinion's admittedly not particularly relevant considering I don't post much and don't really care for US politics, but I don't really like this idea None of the arguments for this change in the previous thread on this were all that persuasive and really, whilst some members might go overboard with the threads in world news, it's certainly not any worse than what's posted in the other sections. Brexit, Israel/Palestine and others were all major talking points with regular threads when they were the major news so this 'issue' is nothing related to americentrism (and anyway, the US elections still have an effect on the rest of us). It will become confused and jumbled and impossible to have a conversation. What's the point of having this section if you're just going to have two threads for everything these candidates say? This idea of combining threads is by people who don't like seeing the politics... but this section is for those who want to discuss these things in detail! I say the people who don't like all the threads can avoid this section instead of ruining it for those who are interested!
