I had no idea Toxic was at 9 :fthis:

Back when it was released, Hip-Hop/R&B were dominating the radio/charts, so a #9 on Bilboard is actually impressive (since it's a pop song)

But her dope voice is very similar to her vocal style in Applause and everybody is always praising that song and her vocals in it.

Does it matter when the song fell of the charts in a week? Compared to the hits you posted. lol

I read somewhere that it only peaked in the top 10 because it was on an ad for the YouTube Music Awards, which counted as streams. AND I distinctly remember the ad playing before every video during that time as well.

#JusticeforDope tho :gaycat:

Thanks for the stats, but for the people who care about positions, songs can be ICONIC even if they don't chart well! Toxic for example! :awesome:

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

Because it doesn't work "slowed down". It sounds very "opera" and inauthentic compared to the lighthearted songs on the album. Applause is faster and she doesn't hold the notes for very long thus making it much easier on the ears.
