Applause made me a fanIt was 20.8 and I was watching some Gaga's old MV's after like 3 years. I saw a title saying Lady Gaga Applause in the youtube search predictions and I was stupid enough to think that it's just a video of her fans clapping for a long time After like 30 minutes I clicked on it and I was slayed so hard that I was listening to Applause like 10 times a day for 4 months And now, after almost 3 years I still can't renew my love for Applause and I always skip it

For such complex lyrics (which she posted in... late July?), I was surprised at how simple it sounded. It really reminded me of Electric Chapel, but much more pop.

I honestly didn't expect it to sound so... I don't know, safe?

Still liked it, though. I remember being completely amazed by the video.

I started freaking out when I found out it had been released early. I was like BYE GUYS and ran into my room and put my headphones on. My first initial reaction was that I REALLY liked it, and I had missed Gagz so much. I was skeptical coming into it because that tiny like 5 snippet that was leaked onto tumblr a week prior sounded SO BAD. I forgot what part it was, but without having heard the rest of it/ the instrumentals being weak on the leak it sounded awful. I still love the song dearly and it's one of my favorites off ARTPOP.

I remember it was 11 at night where i lived, i was twisting and turning while patiently freaking out to hear the song on the net, kept searching google every f*cking second to download it 

THEN i found a link, downloaded it ....put my headphones on, and my mind was.......BLOWN AWAY! The "gong" part had me SHOOK, and then the most magnificent, most amazing, magical,beautiful prechorus 'I Live for the Applause, plause ,plause' came and i literally cried, because it was so good ....i didn't like the chorus back then, still don't like it that much

i was in nyc on the subway and i found out it was leaking. i remember listening to it walking around nyc. it is one of my favorite gaga songs for sure.... every preformance is amazing. i even have an applause tattoo. might be my fav gaga song

I listened to it at hotel lobby in Singapore, we were just got back to hotel after long day venturing, and I heard it, and I stopped my bf and said, "Wait, this sounds like Gaga!" and I asked for us to sit there for a moment, and listen the sing till it end, and sure enough, the radio announcer tells it's Gaga new song. I was so happy!
