What were your reactions when you first heard Applause?

Before answering, I have to say that I hadn't heard Aura before listening to applause, because when I saw it leaked on YT I clicked on the video, but as soon as I heard those "aaaaaah aaah aaah aaaah aaah aaah" I thought it was just another f****** attempt to imitate gaga and fake a gaga leak to make views on yt  Just to say that Applause was the first song off ARTPOP that I had heard on the day Applause came out

Soooo, when I first heard it I thought it was horrible, like very very horrible;

second listening: "oh ok it's not that horrible but still horrible";

third listening: "ok it's not that bad";

fourth listening: "I FREKING LOVE THIS SONG I WANNA BOP TO IT DANCE TO IT ALL DAY LONG LISTENING TO IT TILL MY EARS ACHE" 

So, yes, I had a complicated relationship with my Gaga those days.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I was expecting more tbh. But it grew on me eventually.

I was working with a friend driving a truck, and I said we had to tune into a certain radio station to hear it.

I remember the intro sounding gloomy and dark, like it was kinda sad or something.

then after it got to the applause applause part and the chorus.. It sounded happy.

Liked it first time and i grew on me even more after a few listens. I think it's her best lead after bad romance.

Applause release was one of the best music moment in my life. The excitation, and the song by itself were awsome. It was and it is my fav Gaga lead single, and my fav Gaga song with Judas. A fresh sounding replay worthy masterpiece. 

And I think my biggest ''fear'' is to not live as a good time with LG5 Lead's. Hope I will, but don't know if she can top Applause (speaking with my own taste for what should be a smash hit single). So I wait and hope so !

Honestly, I was amazed. This song was what made me become a Little Monster, so it'll always have a special place in my heart.

It sounded a little dull to me and I remember expecting something else. Also hated the way she sang the verses, sounded like Miranda Sings to me. I still don't think it was lead material tbh.
