This she can show the world that she can truly sing act and be a lady with a brown hair but the GP will always remember her as blonde chick with bangs that wore meat dress (they will never let go that one, thats for sure) and a girl that is creative and had pop bops... REALITY 76,588
The promotion was all well, but those albums were know for their music and their messages—especially Born This Way. I've seen some people wanting promotion like BTW, but I don't think that very many people are clinging on to its promotional background. The promotion was great, but what people are going to remember is the album and the music. 𝔊𝔬𝔬𝔡𝔟𝔶𝔢, ℑ'𝔩𝔩 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔦𝔫 𝔪𝔶 𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔪𝔰

HOTNebraskaGuy 19,547
I want her to be on shows and have a **** ton of interviews like BTW, but not because she needs promo, but because I want to listen to her and understand her. Also, I don't want billboards of her everywhere, but Gaga isn't Beyoncè or Adele. She's not like them in the fact the with every album she actually changes her self, when you hear her music you visualize her in certain looks and it's hard to do so when no one has seen her- anywhere. She's a visual artist therefore she needs to be seen, and unless she's gonna drop a 1+ hour album video little to no promo isn't gonna cut it- at least not for the GP. One, five, ten lay a million on me
TheFame Monster 8,944
I want her to start interacting with us more. Like how she used to do Twitter QnA with us. That is something that would help today.

Nono 3,576
Nobody is really promoting their albums these days.... just look at Dangerous Woman, Anti, Lemonade( yes it had some promotion, but second after that she was already on a tour) and even 25( 1 hit was enough for her, the album was a hit a she moved on a tour) nowdays everything is going too fast because of streaming, it feels like nobody cares about promoting their albums but its just how things are working right now I feel like the eras of the albums are dying out... Artist and labels only want that one hit and their mission is acomplished and they move on tour and its over... its a little bit sad, and Im scared if LG5 lead single manages to be a top 1 billboard song( I will be so happy if that happens) that she wont even care about an era and will go on tour.... yxi 4,999
I really don't care about the promo stuff... My main concern is the music. I want her to make something really great that will match the amount of talent she displays during her live performances.
Delulu Rogers 7,249
Interesting thread. But anything she always does will forever be compared to TFM and BTW not just for the promo but the way the entire era played out with killer songs, looks and videos. Also i don't think gaga is trying to stay away from us so we crave and miss her. Other than the fans the gp is not sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for new gaga music. I think gaga is just gaining new experiences and doing what makes her happy and as a result the wait for a new album has been so long. Yes, the game has changed since 2011 and gaga needs to step up her streaming power but promo on subway carts and billboards will only add to the exposure and return to the music scene that she needs

BuzzcutSeason 3,307
To be honest it really bothers me when artist get to a point where there presence is enough to sell an album. It makes sense because they've worked hard but if they want to top themselves or come close then they have to promote. 1989 by taylor swift wouldn't have sold as much if she didn't promote and the only thing i'll give taylor credit for with her life is the fact she is still promoting her albums. Luc 4,775
Make everybody thirsty for her? That's not how it works. Nobody thinks about Gaga unless she's tight in front of you. It's why Applause lasted over 2 months in the top 10: after two months, there were still thousands of pop music fans who heard Applause for the first time. The only reasons you want to stay away from the spotlight are: a. People are bored of you, and you wish for them to be enthusiastic again b. People hate you, and you want them to forget how much they hate you. c. You want the media to label it as a huge comeback, making it a huge comeback because that's the power of the media. The whole music industry is differeny anyways. Touring, extra promotions (Donatella, Eau de Gaga, Fame, merch, KIA) and catalog are the most important now. The effects of promotion can't be seen right away anymore. It's now visible in touring revenue a year later. Promotion is still important. And yes, stop holding her to 2011 standards because she's 5 years older now and has broken her hip in the meantime.
DemeLarell 931
I'm not saying that the promo should be massive but it needs to be a decent size and clever. We at least need to get people to know that she has new music out.
