Cause thereI will be two season of AHS this year, which is why its starting next month and only has 10 episodes. As far as the theme goes, I think itll be called "Forest" dealing with children, the cult, and I highly believe that gaga playing a evil fairy could be true considering one of the production team members talked about Gaga blowing fairy dust into leslie jordans eyes. But that Forest rumor was never confirmed. I have a feeling it's just a random website because we haven't even seen a tree in the teasers.
PopThatArt 2,193
But the teasers and promo images usually never reflect what the season is about. Look back at coven promo, that doesn't suggest the season would be about witches, etc. Like the women's feet dangling for example. or the women with snakes in their mouths or the woman floating in the air with needles. And look at the covers of Murder House and Asylum, did they really suggest anything related to the season name? Not really. It's just images and teasers to stir up interest. But there was no mystery to what that season was about so that's not really a good example... It was called Coven because it was about witches and ALL that imagery you mentioned sounds "witchey" to me
Dorothy Gale 7,575
Okay so it's pretty much confirmed at this point. The new poster looks very colonial and the woman in the poster is holding teeth, pretty much confirming that the tooth curtain/clipper commercial is legit. Women's feet dangling = witches being hanged. hanging was one of the more popular ways to kill a witch, besides burning and drowning. Women with snakes in their mouths = Snakes have been associated with witchery for a long ass time. And snakes were used for multiple things before modern medicine came about. Also witches are known for communicating with animals in general. Also snakes, while not the most popular of familiars, are often a choice for witches. Woman floating in the air with needles = People thought witches got their powers from contracts with demons, and many recount during the Salem witch trials, witches often floated. Also, demonic possession (believed to come from the contract) has been known to cause random floating. Also witchcraft is known to incorporate everything, including textile work, though witchcraft is also associated with being feminine. Also, Coven had a focus on hoodoo, voodoo, obia, and similar religions. Which are all associated, rather wrongly, with voodoo dolls.
