Reasons why the lead single might be coming this month

I think the first single might be called American Pride, especially since the guy is filming in NY, and also filmed at the DNC. She's been very political as well. The American flag jacket, a mustang = classics American car. I think her first single will be something patriotic, maybe an ode to NY? Only a thought, but he's clearly filming some type of montage to put together.

Of course she is. What would be the point of keeping quiet all this time if she's just planning to announce the dates like she did with her other albums. Also remember the disaster that happened the last time she announced a lead single and Katy Perry swooped in and stole her thunder. She's not taking any chances this time around.

This. And every other artist pretty much has announced their lead singles only a day/a few days before it's release. It's the new thing now tbh

I also hope and want the lead single to be a surprise release. Imagine if she drops it with the video on the same day or within a few hours difference

Weren't there rumours of a Q4 release too? She always drops her lead singles 3 months before the album, and if the album is Q4, that means the single should drop, and era should start, August/September.

And considering it's supposed to come this year (and it isn't likely to be released in December), that'd suggest a November album and August single. Obviously can't be October because the single would've dropped last month lol. 

This would directly mirror the ARTPOP release schedule, except no messy, media-created, Katy Perry vs. Gaga. In fact, little to no musical competition should arise between now and the end of the year!

I've been thinking a combination of these two things!

I think the lead single might have something to do with the state of the US at the moment. She spoke and cried at the vigil for the Orlando shootings too.

And there was plenty of footage recorded there:

Also, I think she/someone said this album is going to have more meaningful content regarding the messages she wants to leave behind on this planet or something...

@PropaGaga ruined everything with a post on popjustice, but it's a personal opinion, so still hoping for August 19 or 26

It's going to annoy the **** out of me is she releases a single late August and then she's on AHS in September  She needs to let AHS come out, she's back on peoples screens and people see Gaga again and then release a lead single. If she releases it in August, she'll promote it perform it and then forget about it and make way for AHS. Forget August and release the lead in October after Gaga and AHS have gained a little hype

If the title or the song has anything to do with america or its pride, it will flop massively in the international market. Believe it or not, the US isn't that popular right now

idk why but this part of your comment just got me super excited for LG5, it's like the stars are aligning for a huge single drop this month  I feel like we're really close to the start of the era. I just hope she drops soon cause I've got exams coming up and if she starts dropping during my exams I will be an emotional mess
