The instrumental is the only good thing about this song :neyde:

Does anyone happen to have it? :koons:

Hands down the best song on the album and probably one of the best songs of the year... but 99.9% of the credit goes to Tame Impala :laughga:

 To each of their own, I guess.

:rockstar: I happen to favor Tame's version, more than anything. Kevin Parker gives off a consisting 60s/70s Psychedelic nature.

To be clear, this post is not an attempt to invalidate the original. It's truly a toss-up which one I prefer (Rihanna's female vocal gives it the edge, but aesthetically there is such little difference between the two).

But you are absolutely right... Kevin's vocal gives it a psychedelic vibe, which is more understated in Rihanna's version.

This is why I'm also holding it up as the "gold standard" for LG5 for me. Get your life, Gaga!!! Get your life.

I only like the original. I'm not here for this cheap karaoke version sorry.

LOL it is the cheap karaoke version!! But, it's a cheap karaoke version with great vocal effects layered on top. Since it's not a hard song to sing, it works. Rihanna sounds divine to me!

I love the original but i'm not a fan of Rihanna's version. I don't get the point of covering a recent song if you sing exactly like the original and bring nothing new to it...

It is really good. It sounds just like the original version. I wonder why she covered it in the exact same way though? I do love it

I prefer Rihanna's cover. Just like I prefer Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You."

I didn't know both were covers until someone pointed it out. They pinned them well.
