Mark's trademark brass and overall funk vibe is evident in Amy's version, and it's what makes it special. I admit, I am a bit wary about his involvement because he's unlike anyone she's ever worked with, but I think the same for her other new collab partners like Diane and Nile. Change can be a great thing and I'm willing to be open to it. I just want to be sure that whatever she puts out as her personal stamp on it, that it's not just a re-hash of previous songs by her new team. If there's anything I'm worried about, it's this rumoured disco influence. I'm not going to be here for an album that sound like Daft Punk or Pharrell's last releases. His version is just sped up a lot One's literally an indie rock song with prominent electric guitar and backing vocals, while the other is soul/funk with prominent brass and strings....and the countermelodies in Ronson's version (the trumpets) are nowhere to be found in the original. You don't have to like it, but it's basically not the same song anymore.
