No pressure, and It's not being rushed. She's taking full time to write, and record music. Gaga promised us LG5 will be worth the wait, and I believe so. I believe that if Justin Bieber, the world's most hated person, who spit on his fans, pissed in a bucket or whatever, etc. now has #1's and a successful tour. Lady Gaga can be back, perfectly. ARTPOP is a huge success, 2.3 million copies worldwide, Top 5 hit, and Top 15 hit. Some artists are struggling to get that. So I believe that her success will be bigger than ARTPOP. She doesn't need success, but she needs great music to deliver. I believe a PRISM-type-era in terms of success will happen or ARTPOP all over again with better singles performance. What do you think about this @UK Monster? I totally agree about what you said about Justin Bieber. He was hated by the masses, but the vital part of that is that the masses had a strong opinion on him, all he had to do was do a public image change and he was sorted and guaranteed success. Gaga was adored by the masses never really hated but she did become neglected by the masses during 2013 I think the public needed a break from gaga after years of gaga overload. I think the sky is the limit for her, sales aren't everything, public perceptions are more important if gaga is seen as cool again and becomes popular again through having hits etc that is more important than album sales figures, we will just have to see

Why did you choose circus? Her comeback was Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale and all three of those eras had more impact on pop culture and had more commercial success through singles than ARTPOP did, Britney Jean sold very very poorly I'm not going to lie but Work Bit** did ok as a single it rivalled applause in terms of impact and also youtube views etc

I couldn't disagree more. HIAM is a #1 hit and it's the lowest selling #1 of the digital era, and it sold just as much as the #13-peaking DWUW, so top 5 peaks mean very little. Circus, 3, TTWE are also top 5 hits, and they're entirely forgotten. Not even gonna mention her embarrassing album sales since then.

nullandvoid 189
After really tossing around this juxtaposition in my head, I think this is what makes Gaga different. Britney was able to rekindle her previous energy or presence; another hit for the comeback kid. But I imagine the future of Gaga's music, the upcoming record especially, as more of a cultivation of genres ("futuristic and classic") and influences, her iconography, and just good music. After the Bowie tribute, it seemed people stopped "getting it." It's not about the song, the melody, how well she mimicked his pitch or inflections.. It was the energy (aura-a-a-a) the nuances the Bowie she dreamt of and presented to the world. Britney was able to sing and dance again, welcome back pop princess. But I think Gaga is an ever-evolving artist of eras, and that is what we really take away from the albums I feel. Each departure is a stepping stone for what is to come. *With all deserved worship to the history that was 2007.
donutellha 13,819
I love them both dearly, I don't want their comeback to hurt each other! Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.
