Lion Heart 15,041
PHILADELPHIA — Sen. Bernie Sanders rebuffed calls from the Green Party — and a loud minority of his delegates and supporters here — to abandon the Democratic Party and build a third force outside it. "I don't know the leadership of the Green Party, but I respect what they're trying to do," Sanders said, at a breakfast sponsored by Bloomberg Politics. "They're focusing on very, very important issues. But I think right now — what is it, three, four months before an election — you're going to end up having a choice. Either Hillary Clinton is going to become president, or Donald Trump." "We are not a parliamentary system, as is the case in Europe," Sanders said. "If we were in Europe right now, in Germany or elsewhere, the idea of coalition politics of different parties coming together — you've got a left party, you've got a center-left party, coming together against the center-right party. That's not unusual. That happens every day. We don't have that. We have and have had [two parties] for a very long period of time — and I know a little bit about this, as the longest serving independent member of Congress." ItsTommyBitch 12,640
He could go even harder tbh, but finally 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
kvnrp 48,353
But what would happen if the Green Party would get a good result? They can't just not let them into Congress

They can't just not let them into Congress b/c the reality is that the green party is never going to be regarded as a viable, possible winner of the election. if bernie-democrats vote for the green party in protest to voting for Hillary, it's going to weaken her chances of winning and the result be a Trump win, hence why he's telling his supporters to vote for hillary instead of the green party/jill stein. DiamondAngel 5,044
I think we should ALL vote green. The candidate is much better than Racist Crazy Trump and Lying Criminal Hillary. If we all come together and campaign, there may be a chance. We just have to campaign hard.

Here's reality for you, boo. A Trump presidency would be terrifying for people of color, women, the lgbt community, etc. He and his supporters would stomp over civil liberties by means of appointing horrible Supreme Court justices. If you don't care about any of this, you lack foresight and empathy. Jill Stein will not be president. Gary Johnson will not be president. Bernie Sanders will not be president. There are two people who have a chance. One of them has zero political experience, has failed in the financial world, has rallied racists and sexists across the nation. The other has loads of flaws too, but under her, important programs and institutions by the government will not be destroyed. Important support for minorities will not be removed. You're not voting on whether you think Hillary Clinton is a good person. You're voting for a slew of civil liberties, rights, and support that would not exist under Trump. Are we settling? Yes, we are. But there is a time and place to fight for ideological purity. Now is the time to ensure that the underprivileged do not face the VERY REAL DANGER of a Trump presidency. Brian Ryan 1,468
If you don't know that it's obviously going to be Hillary Clinton or Trump. You probably shouldn't vote in the first place.

I'm sorry, but it's a lost cause. If Bernie supporters can't win Bernie the D nom, then how to you expect a fraction of them to make the Green party win? You also have to keep in mind electoral votes.

JanPianoMusic 730
I feel like Americans don't realise how important it is that they vote for Hillary. Are you going to vote for an experienced yet flawed politician or a businessman who has no idea what he is doing? When I hear "Bernie or bust" people, I imagine us Europeans yelling across the ocean "Are you out of your mind?". I've said it in the past, voting for the Green party equals throwing your vote away. It serves NO purpose. Do us all a favour and vote for Hillary. You will never please everyone.
