This is the most tragic list of nominees I have ever seen at these awards. Seriously. This list perfectly sums up how boring music videos have become. Video after video of nothing happening or a simply dance routine. Storytelling out the window. The Video Of The Year noms all have one thing in common - what I just said. Even when Kanye's being controversial, nothing's actually happening. And there's so little going on that basic-ness gets praised to high heaven. Adele is up for Best Visual Effects despite that awful effect in her video looking like something that would have come out of the 70s. I mean, there were actually people saying how awful that effect was. And Zayn's effects are just basic ones you can get as part of a computer package. Coldplay's and The Weeknd's look fake as hell. I don't even really know what the special effects are in fka twig's video.

I was right about the nominees for Video of The Year, except for Famous, I thought Work would be there, forgot about that because of course, they want controversy ratings.

I can already tell Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Beyoncé will be front row and maybe Taylor Swift will be mentioned somehow.

I hope Sia wins for Cheap Thrills. Not that these awards are important, I'd rather see that song and This Is Acting win a Grammy.
