To all those saying she doesn't deserve it, it doesn't matter how your last effort fared it's more of how much impact you made to the art of music videos in retrospect. None of her singles outsold applause Anti tour just has a $47 million gross Album hasn't even sold 500k copies If Rihanna deserves the vanguard award after an era with INFERIOR numbers than ARTPOP, then Gaga definitely deserves it after C2C, any other popstar would have flopped with an album like that and their career would be over. Sales for singles are down, that's not a fair comparison. Work was a number one hit for several weeks. 2. The tour isn't over yet 3. Album sales are also down, the album is a success on streaming 4.
