Gold can be sold money and money is a cause of greed which is one of the sins corrupting the world.

ah so you see this truth young one. now go forth and seek nirvana.

honestly though what should be done then? stop the drones? ok, so what if we stopped the drones. then what? what should the pokemon go playing 15 year olds do about ISIS and drone strikes?

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

I kind of wanna make a comic called "Trainers always find each other" about trainers finding these kids with these pokemon and getting them out of danger now.

now that would be cute :diane: i feel a positive take on the pokemon go popularity would be much nicer than guilt tripping people :diane:

I don't think Mast ment for the guilt trip. There are many reasons why this happened. And stopping one just couldn't stop them all.

And there are people who feel bad for others, but lately there is just so much, ya know? If you start going in, it seems like it never ends. That's why I didn't open that Kabul thread when I saw it recently.

We're in troubling times, and I think we should use what we have for positivity.

Now only if I could draw that comic well. Though I bet I'll see on tumblr like tonight or something.

Actually you have a good idea, since you can buy items from I think pokestops and stuff with cash like many free apps. I would love to see Niantec employ that after seeing these sad pictures.

Well I'm not sure about a goldmine since there are many reported problems with said app, and other things.

1. server problems. I'm not sure if the server problems have been fixed yet. But due to the fact that they have been dealing with larger server load than what was expected, they've been having problems.

2. Niantec is a small company. They don't have that many employees (less than the giants behind really popular games) and while Gamefreak and Nintendo are behind them, theyy do most of the work (as why there are a lot of problems).

3. While I'm not sure of how the in game purchases work, I think you get a lot of stuff for free and don't ever actually need to buy anything. Though this is hardly a problem as the hardcore gaming community has probably already gotten behind the game and probably spends a lot of money everyday.

These are small problems though, rather minor.

Not to mention I can see a lot of artists now being inspired to make pokemon related art or commissions and donate to a syrian refugee fund or something.

Plus niantec/gamefreak/whoever could sell those watches that were released alongside and donte a portion of the proceeds as well.

Maybe something good will come of this, like what happened with Airbnb.

Sorry they hurt your feelings... But I don't think that was the point.

What did AirBnB do? Is it something PokemonGO could adopt?

I don't remember the exact details of the story, but it had to do with refugees in Greece sending pics of their living conditions and "offering" their tent as a place to go on vacation. The owners of the company then donated money to help the refugees in that area and it brought awareness to the situation. I don't know if anything else came of it.
