Lion Heart 15,041 Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 Hillary Clinton and her tight inner circle have made a decision about who her running mate will be, and the campaign is expected to make that announcement Friday, sources say. One source familiar with the process said Clinton is expected to let her supporters know who she picked sometime Friday, possibly before an afternoon event in Tampa, Fla. That announcement may come through a text message or email, the source said. The two candidates will likely campaign together tomorrow in Miami. So far, much of the Clinton camp has been kept in the dark about the potential pick, with even top advisers guessing about who the pick might be. But those who know Clinton best point to Sen.Tim Kaine (D-Va.). "I would bet all my chips on Kaine," one confidant of Clinton's said Thursday. But others made the Clinton shortlist, too. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is another top contender, and Sens. But we need to keep the Democrat senators in the Senate since it is majority controlled by Republicans. Warren would have been replaced with a Republican by the Republican governor for the interim until election time, and then just hope when the election came around we could get a Democrat back in. So I think Warren should stay in the Senate. Of course, Kaine is a senator also, but maybe there isn't a much fear about a Democrat replacing him. I don't know.. VP's don't do much or have much power. Elizabeth Warren is very important in the Senate and will have more influence. She is a big voice for the progressives in the Senate. She would be more muzzled as a VP. But who knows. Hillary may appoint her to a high-ranking position in her cabinet if elected. I still think we need her in the Senate more. Hillary's choice will be Kaine from what I read because he has domestic and foreign policy experience and can take over if she dies in office easily and, most importantly, he can help her deliver a swing state or states, which I think this race might be tighter than many Democrats believe and the swing states are going to be hugely important. He's not exciting or as far left as Bernie voters will want, but if he can help get her into the White House, I can accept it. .
