Seeka 12,372 Posted July 16, 2016 Share Posted July 16, 2016 I'm just wondering if anyone has played any Pokemon ROM hacks. I'm currently working on one (which may turn into two or three by the looks of it). I also have began playing both Pokemon Resolute and Snakewood which are both decent so far. I particularly like Resolute for giving me Gastly in like the first area you catch pokemon. I'm kind of discouraged from Snakewood right now because I can't catch a Ralts which is my go to in ORAS. So anyone else play Pokemon ROM hacks? Got any suggestions? I know I have a pokecommunity account but I'd rather see what people not from there say. AnnTakamaki 6,828 Posted July 16, 2016 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Yes i played sacred gold because i want to caught Celebi and other legendary, it just like normal heart gold but instead of wifi event it give you a chance to access and caught the event pokemon. Expand Well what I really like about Rom hacks is there is no limitations to the story unlike main series Pokemon games that must follow the Normal story arc and be kid friendly. I'm making sure all pokemon are available in my game. You're gonna work for them though. Expand Ah so you like the freedom of having darker and maybe more realistic akin to Pokemon Colosseum. I think that's the best thing about hacks is how much they can explore and be more realistic and dark. I plan on making a dark hack. Very nice way to start people's gaming careers and similar things. Also nice ways to explore the pokemon universe. I think i prefer hacks that take place in original lands though. Though I'm not revealing any details~ Expand You can get full pokedex with sacred gold but the gym leader , team rocket, trainer, champion etc got better pokemon so that a bit hard to fight.
