Miltary Coup in Turkey (NOT successful)

I wouldn't be surprised if this was setup for him to gain more power. He's been screaming about a coup for a while, takes away freedoms to protect himself from these supposed coups, and then a small group takes over the country for a few hours, only to surrender later? His vacation spot is bombed AFTER he's left, the planning is just all off, it's very weird.

Last night was the worst day of my life

At least 30 F16 flow next to my apartment. Just like 50 meters far from me.

Bombing all night, people are going crazy.

Also there are some footages that civil people cut the head of living soldiers and throw them from the bosphorus. This is a disaster.

What's the current situation? Getting mixed messages from the news. Are airports still closed?

Can't help but feel this is going to end in the opposite result than the one the military want :(

Now that it failed, he will get more power. I still believe it was staged

It all doesn't really add up.. in a day and age with no real privacy it can not be possible to organise a coup with over 2000 people. That's just impossible, right? They must have used SOME kind of mobile phone, texting, etc. At least SOME pro-Erdogan servicemen would've noticed? Intelligence services would've seen this coming, no?

On the other hand, I don't think Erdogan actually made this up himself. There would be way less deaths, and I don't think important buildings like the parliament would've actually been bombed like this. Then again, why didn't Erdogan's vacation place get bombed earlier, and why didn't they bomb the **** out of the presidential palace? Why didn't they stop the mosques from sending everyone out on the streets?

And the late reaction from Western superpowers gives me hope, because it shows they actually supported the coup to a certain extent.
