Oh 😕 it's quite unbelievable that payola can make a song top the charts for six consecutive weeks, especially back when so many artists were releasing new music (with songs probably more radio-friendly than hers). BTW remains one of the best-selling singles of all time so it's impact was undeniable...

Gaga was the first person to use a 'radio deal'. Radio deals are now very common for big artists, but it's only for one day. So most radio stations played BTW every hour, but it's not payola.

I love the song, but this video is very disgusting...she looks scary, ugly, the birth scene is distasteful, and that skeleton/body paint tattooed guy makes me very uncomfortable, like I want to throw up....I watched it once when it debuted and that's it. Maybe others felt the same way. It's just very bad to watch and take in this shocking imagery.
