YUSSSSSSS

i felt so guilty for not really liking her. Ive always been able to see right through her. She comes across as fake and whiny, among other things. I could never understand her appeal. Yeah she does write decent pop songs but I never felt like she deserved all the praise. When she pulled her music off spotify because they offered a free tier, that just really made me dislike her more. Again not a fan of her personally but this to me was a big **** you to her fans. I understand artists need to eat but damn, this women owns multiple homes, is ****ing loaded, and she didn't want to put her music on Spotify just because they had a free tier because she wasn't making enough???? Thats ****ing greedy.  How much is not enough? And I love how she tried to use the excuse of smaller artists not being paid enough. You don't do music or anything really because you want the money. You do it because you love it. The extra money is just a bonus. And plus artists shouldn't be  directing their fight towards streaming anyways. They should be directing it to their ****ing labels. Google just came out and said they paid billions to music labels from their streaming service. And thats just from one streaming service. Taylor Swift pretty much owns her record label so thats even more money going towards her.  But besides those facts again, she comes across as fake and a try hard to me. Her little ditzy acts she tries to pull just seems like bad acting for me. Something really fake about it. And clearly, its not me who just feels this way. How many boyfriends has she had in the past few years??? Something is seriously ****ed up with this girl and I am so glad she's finally getting exposed. It sucks doesnt it? But its  inevitable because when you get big as she is, theres no where else to go but down. Look at all the greats, look at Gaga. Im just hoping she doesnt recover lol. And Kudos to her PR team.

Preach sis!!!! So much yes!

Katy remaining classy by remaining silent. And Calvin being childish but someone has to put Taylor in her place. She is like one of those popular high school girls that have to have it their way no matter how many people they step on in the way!

I like her music though :poot:

You said it all right here. The perfect closer to this post! Bless you.

Both are finally getting some of their own medicine. Someone is blocking Calvin's career like he blocked Rita Ora's album and someone is exposing Taylor as the not so innocent girl she actually is like she always does with her ex boyfriends.

She didn't look so classy when she was stealing backup dancers for no reason or when she was exploiting the LGBT community and using "gay" as a insult :flutter:

Are we going to completely ignore Taylor using "gay" as an insult as well?

It's not the "celebrity drama" that I'm living for... it's the justice for real art and real talent that has me so hyped. Calvin has been my #1 fave for 10 years now. And Taylor has been my enemy #1 in the pop game since 2010. So to see him rally all of Twitter behind him is a HUGE win for talent today.

Talent always wins.

My life is not sad because of the joy I derive from this. It's enriched. Pop music is my #1 hobby and yes, I obsess over seeing my faves get the credit they deserve. I've been waiting for this day when the music-buying public is not fooled by Taylor's media manipulation anymore. Music not the bling, ETC

#TaylorSwiftIsOverParty is happening with or without you @LDR ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you talking about Calvin Harris?

If so, can you include the /sarcasm at the end of your post because it almost sounds like you think his recycled beats constitute talent.

This reminds me of those couples you see on Facebook who recently break up and there's always one that goes on some rant and exposes the other :laughga:

This is embarrassing. This is like something you would see from a high schooler.

Just wondering, if the shoe was on the other foot, would you think differently? It's just that I notice Taylor fans are quick to call out anyone who they deem is acting "petty" towards her but whenever she does something massively petty (and there are many instances of that), she's perfectly within her rights to do so. It's one rule for her, one rule for everyone else, I've noticed. It's partly the reason why I can't stand her. Calvin isn't being petty at all, he's merely defending himself against a manipulative person and calling them out for their misdeeds. I praise those who expose fake people like that.

I don't know how to feel. On one hand, good at him for exposing her pettiness if this is true at all and not just a rage fueled dig (so lies), but on the other hand didn't he not let Rita Ora have an entire album just because she cheated on him? I say just, but they had a professional relationship as well as a personal one. She had a decent hit at the time and may have actually gone somewhere with the album, but now she's just that person people know who actually hasnt put much music out at all but is somehow a judge and people think shes Rihanna :air:He basically sabotaged her blossoming career and sent her two steps back even though she probably worked her ass to get there. That's not whats happening here at all, Calvin has hits and nothing to be ashamed of even if she did actually ghost write it, Rita had to basically start everything over :smh:

It seems kind of hypocritical for him to dig at Taylor for this even though he was way pettier with Rita it seems. I don't really like Calvin at all, and im Indifferent to Taylor atm.

This is a mess :rip:

He's being petty. I was kind of surprised at first, but then I remembered the whole Rita Ora ordeal.

To answer your question, petty is petty.

Yeah, yeah, we all know you can't stand Taylor...or Beyonce...or Adele...or...

By the way, I'm not some huge stan of Taylor's. I've told you that before.

Don't you think that's a good reason to not give someone the right to use your music, though? Would you want someone who betrayed you profiting off your hard work and essentially acting like its theirs? Well, that wouldn't happen on my watch. Letting it happen would make you a pushover. Why do we expect celebrities to be angels? They react like the rest of us when we get betrayed. Rita "worked" to get to where she is in the sense that she just hung around until she made it. But she doesn't write or produce, she's just a singer who sings work given to her. That's not working. If she wants to be successful, she's going to have to try harder than that. It's a new world now, girls have to do a lot more than be a pretty face and sing songs written for them to get somewhere in this business. I don't like it when artists think they're entitled to success regardless of how little talent they have.

Read what I said above. He reacted just like what any one of us would have done had we been betrayed. It's essentially the celebrity equivalent of: "She cheated on me? Well, she's not getting the TV, that's for sure!" We protect our assets, the things we bought and worked hard for, when a loved one betrays us. We don't want them to prosper, taking some of those assets with them. Why should celebrities be any different?

Yeah, I don't like them for good reason. So what?

I know you're not a stan of Taylor's. When I talk about fans, I just mean anyone who likes her music.

Speak for yourself. That's not how everyone acts. I wouldn't have publicized my break up mess on Twitter in that way and the majority of people I know wouldn't choose to do something like that either. Most people I know think it's juvenile to whine about break ups on Twitter. Hey, but you do you when you are involved in relationships and break ups.

Believe me, we know by now...and know all those "good reasons".

Oh, I see...well, I'm a fan of hundreds and hundreds of artists then! :)

It was both of their music, they made it together, he just technically owned it. Also, I'm not bitter enough to sabotage a future partner's career just because it didn't work out. It's petty as **** and I have no respect for it, not sorry about it. I'd probably just relinquish my involvement with the project and want nothing to do with it; but she still was part of the process of making it, so I would let her use at least some of it if I really felt I didn't want my work going out there; she got squat last I checked even though its not like he did 100% of the work.

It's not easy to break into music at all, just being able to sing is often not enough, it takes a lot of luck and networking and years and years of time usually, just to get a record label to maybe give you the time of day. Whether you personally believe they are talented enough to deserve it isn't actually important at all; its the person who signs them and their fans whose opinions really matter. "Doesn't write or produce, just a singer who sings work given to her" applies to way more people than you would think, so if this the backbone of your argument at least be consistent in criticizing all people who are "only" singers... (Not to mention you aren't giving singing itself the credit it deserves; Singing well is hard. Not all people can sing, not all people are naturally gifted or can afford to learn to sing professionally with a teacher, etc.)

I don't think anything about her actions shows that she feels "entitled to success" at all either :duck: She obviously moved on and kept working, but he set back her professional career for months or even longer out of spite even though he had nothing to gain from it but to know that it was hurting her.
